 Discovery Call           (15 minutes –    $100)

A Discovery Call is a short, structured phone conversation designed to help us decide if working together is the right fit. During this call, you’ll share a little about your goals and what you’re looking for, and I’ll explain my approach to functional and integrative psychiatry. We’ll discuss what it might look like to work together, including comprehensive evaluation, treatment options, and next steps.

This call is:

  • 15 minutes, by phone at your scheduled time
  • Billed at $100 (credited toward your initial evaluation if you decide to move forward)
  • Informational only – it does not include diagnosis, prescriptions, or medical treatment
  • A chance to ask initial questions and see if my practice feels like the right fit for you

            Important notes:

  • I am licensed in the state of California only. Patients must be physically located in California at the time of all services, including discovery calls and treatment visits.
  • My practice is out-of-network with insurance. I provide superbills for patients to submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement, and I partner with Reimbursify to help you check what your plan may cover.

The discovery call does not establish a doctor–patient relationship. That relationship begins only after completing a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and formally establishing care.

Initial Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation       $595

Your first visit is a 1 hour 45 minute to 2 hour appointment that provides a complete, individualized understanding of your mental and physical health. This session establishes the foundation for a comprehensive, evidence-informed functional and integrative psychiatric treatment plan.

Preparation Before Your Visit

Prior to your appointment, you will complete intake paperwork, structured questionnaires, and relevant screenings.
Please plan to spend 30–60 minutes completing these forms, as they are detailed and essential for understanding your history, current concerns, and treatment goals.

I also spend 30–60 minutes before your visit reviewing your intake forms, medical and psychiatric history, and key records so our appointment can focus on hearing your story, meaningful analysis, clinical insight, and building your plan.

What to Expect in the Initial Consultation

Your initial evaluation includes:

• A thorough review of your psychiatric and medical history, medications, social background, current symptoms, level of functioning, and the challenges impacting your daily life.
• Personalized recommendations which may include medication options, targeted nutraceuticals, and lifestyle strategies.
• Discussion of whether baseline laboratory testing may be clinically helpful. If labs are needed, you will receive clear instructions on what to obtain and where.

• Guidance on sleep, nutrition, stress regulation, and physical activity to support resilience and well-being.

Post-Visit Clinical Work & Visit Summary

After your appointment, additional time is spent completing documentation, organizing your treatment plan, and sending necessary orders. This may include:

• Sending LabCorp orders
• Ordering specialty functional lab kits
• Sending prescriptions to your pharmacy
• Preparing nutraceutical recommendations or ordering pharmaceutical-grade supplements

Within 24 hours, you will receive a visit summary that reiterates the instructions and recommendations discussed during your session, giving you a clear plan to follow between appointments.

For all LabCorp orders, I will need a copy of the front and back of your insurance card so the lab can properly bill your insurance.

Laboratory results will be reviewed when they arrive through my fax system. Unless there is an urgent or time-sensitive finding, we will review all results together at your next scheduled appointment.

Record Review Policy

To maintain focused, high-quality care:

Up to 20 pages of outside medical records will be reviewed at no additional charge.
This typically includes:
• Recent laboratory results
• The latest psychiatric evaluation
• Current medication list
• Relevant imaging summaries
• Recent discharge summaries (if applicable)

Record reviews from outside sources exceeding 20 pages will be billed at $100 per 15 minutes.
Extensive historical archives are generally unnecessary unless specifically requested.

Communication Between Appointments

Brief messages for simple clarification of your treatment plan are welcome.
More detailed questions, new concerns, or issues requiring clinical decision-making will be addressed in a scheduled appointment or through billable coordination-of-care time.

Follow UP APPOINTMENts

Follow-Up Appointments

Every patient’s journey is unique. Some people need shorter, focused visits to monitor progress and adjust treatment, while others benefit from longer sessions that allow us to address complex medical or psychiatric issues, integrate functional medicine, or include deeper therapeutic work.

For this reason, I offer three types of follow-up appointments:
A 30-minute medication management visit, a 50-minute standard follow-up, and a 90-minute extended follow-up.

Each option supports different needs and levels of care.

30-Minute Medication Management Only – $195

This short visit is strictly for stable patients who are already doing well on their current medication regimen and need only brief monitoring or small adjustments.

This visit is appropriate for:
• Reviewing medication response
• Assessing mild side effects
• Making small dosage adjustments
• Renewing prescriptions

This visit does not include:
• Reviewing or discussing lab results
• Ordering functional or specialty labs
• Implementing integrative or functional medicine strategies
• Managing acute symptoms, crises, or major medication changes
• Titrating controlled substances or initiating new complex regimens
• Exploring trauma, therapy themes, or mind–body approaches
• Addressing multiple or evolving clinical concerns

If you are titrating medication, experiencing increased symptoms, working from a functional/integrative plan, or need more than straightforward medication review, a 50-minute or 90-minute visit will be recommended.

50-Minute Standard Follow-Up – $295

The 50-minute follow-up is the standard appointment for most patients. These sessions build on your initial evaluation and support ongoing progress.

In this visit, we typically:
• Review your progress and challenges since your last session
• Adjust medications or nutraceuticals as needed
• Integrate supportive therapy to explore emotional wellbeing, coping, and growth
• Discuss lifestyle strategies including sleep, nutrition, stress, and movement
• Determine whether functional or conventional lab testing is indicated
• Review labs (if already completed and appropriate for this type of visit)

This format is ideal for patients needing consistent integrative care, medication optimization, and supportive therapy.

90-Minute Extended Follow-Up – $445

The extended session is for patients who need time and depth beyond a standard visit. It is especially valuable for individuals with complex medical or psychiatric presentations, or those who want a more immersive integrative approach.

In this session, we may:
• Review multiple or co-occurring conditions in detail
• Explore advanced functional medicine topics
• Incorporate specialty lab interpretation when appropriate
• Engage in deeper therapeutic processing
• Address trauma history, life transitions, or emotional patterns
• Integrate mind–body work
• Conduct a real-time personalized guided meditation

This visit allows a comprehensive, whole-person approach that connects biology, lifestyle, and emotional health.

Optional Personalized Guided Meditation (90-Minute Sessions Only)

For patients choosing the 90-minute extended session, there is time to include a personalized guided meditation at the end of the visit.

These meditations:
• Are created in real time, tailored to your emotional and physical state
• Support grounding, nervous system regulation, clarity, and integration
• Can be recorded and provided to you afterward
• Serve as effective tools between appointments for regulation and reinforcement

Patients often use these meditations to:
• Calm anxiety and regulate the nervous system
• Reinforce therapeutic insights
• Create a daily ritual for balance and focus
• Support recovery after trauma work or emotional processing

Choosing the Right Type of Follow-Up

• 30 minutes — for stable patients with simple medication needs.
• 50 minutes — for most patients needing integrative psychiatry, therapy, medication management, or lab-informed care.
• 90 minutes — for complex cases, deeper therapeutic work, or integrative mind–body sessions.

If you schedule a visit that is not appropriate for the complexity of your symptoms or needs (for example, booking a 30-minute visit while in crisis, starting a new medication, needing lab review, or doing functional medicine work), we will transition to the appropriate visit type to ensure you receive safe, comprehensive care.

Coordination of care outside office visit $100/15 mins

 Coordination of Care Charge
In addition to office visits, I offer coordination of care services to ensure comprehensive support beyond our scheduled sessions. These services may include:

  • Reviewing outside laboratory reports or diagnostic studies and providing treatment insights

  • Coordinating with your primary care physician, specialists, or other healthcare providers to ensure a fully integrated treatment approach

  • Collaborating with caregivers or family members to support continuity of care and daily functioning

  • Writing letters for FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), emotional support animal (ESA) documentation, or other work-related accommodations

  • Completing EDD (Employment Development Department), short-term disability, or other relevant forms when clinically appropriate

I welcome brief email or phone correspondence between visits for clarification of treatment recommendations or simple care-related questions. A brief exchange is defined as approximately one minute or less. Any communication that exceeds this — including extended correspondence, detailed clinical questions, coordination efforts, or reviewing outside records — will incur a coordination of care charge.

I track the time spent on out-of-session communication and coordination to ensure fairness and transparency. When time spent exceeds brief support (one minute) , a coordination of care charge will apply. Time is tracked to ensure fairness and transparency.

These efforts are part of delivering thoughtful, personalized, and well-integrated care tailored to your specific needs and goals.

Comprehensive Adult ADHD Evaluation $1500

Adult ADHD evaluations are available following an initial comprehensive psychiatric evaluation (this would need to be booked first). These in-depth assessments are designed to explore the presence of ADHD in adults, with close attention to how symptoms affect daily functioning, relationships, work, and overall well-being.

The evaluation includes:

  • Completion of multiple self-report psychometric instruments

  • A 90-minute comprehensive diagnostic interview focused on ADHD

  • Collateral input from a parent, partner, or caregiver (with patient consent)

  • A 90-minute follow-up session to review findings, confirm diagnosis (if appropriate), and develop a personalized treatment plan

  • A detailed written report summarizing the assessment, clinical impressions, and recommendations

This thorough and compassionate process is ideal for adults who have long struggled with inattention, impulsivity, emotional dysregulation, focus difficulties, or executive functioning challenges—whether newly exploring ADHD or seeking a second opinion.

Treatment planning may include non-stimulant medication options, functional medicine approaches (such as addressing sleep, nutrition, gut-brain health, or inflammation), and integrative strategies like mindfulness, movement, somatic therapies, coaching, and lifestyle modifications. It also includes evaluating and addressing co-occurring mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, OCD, and trauma to ensure a truly comprehensive and individualized plan.

The goal is to support the whole person—body, brain, and environment—for sustainable, personalized outcomes.

Comprehensive Adult ASD (Autism) Evaluation $1800

Adult autism evaluations are available following an initial comprehensive psychiatric evaluation (this would need to be booked first). These assessments are designed to explore whether an individual meets criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), with special attention to how traits may present in adults—often in subtle, masked, or historically overlooked ways.

The evaluation includes:

  • Completion of validated self-report screening tools and psychometric instruments

  • A 2-hour comprehensive diagnostic interview focused on autism traits, developmental history, and lived experience

  • Collateral input from a parent, partner, or caregiver (with patient consent)

  • A 90-minute follow-up session to review findings, discuss diagnostic impressions, and provide a tailored support and treatment plan

  • A detailed written report summarizing the assessment, clinical considerations, and individualized recommendations

This process is affirming, neurodiversity-informed, and especially valuable for adults who may have long sensed they experience the world differently or who have developed strong masking strategies to adapt in social, academic, or professional environments.

Recommendations may include addressing any co-occurring mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, OCD, or PTSD; integrative support strategies; functional medicine approaches; sensory and environmental accommodations; neurodivergent-affirming therapy; and tools to support self-understanding, emotional regulation, communication, and sustainable nervous system balance.

The goal is to provide clarity, validation, and a personalized roadmap that honors your lived experience and supports your growth, resilience, and authenticity.

PSYCHIATRIC PRE-OP EVALUATION $495

We offer supportive, evidence-informed psychiatric assessments for individuals preparing for elective surgical procedures. These evaluations help assess emotional readiness, identify potential psychological risk factors, and promote safe, well-supported recovery. We provide neurodivergent-affirming care and collaborate with surgical teams to ensure a patient-centered approach.

Payment and Insurance

Payment policy

To ensure that I can provide you with the highest level of personalized care, I do not work directly with insurance companies. I am considered an out-of-network provider with all insurance plans. This means I do not bill insurance directly; however, many PPO plans will reimburse a portion of the fees for out-of-network services once your deductible is met. I provide a detailed Superbill for each visit, which you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. For added convenience, I am connected with Reimbursify, a secure platform that will electronically submit your claim for you for approximately $4 per claim.

I have also opted out of Medicare, which means I am able to see patients who have Medicare; however, they will not be able to seek reimbursement from Medicare for my services, as I have signed a formal Medicare opt-out agreement.

Payment for appointments is required 24 hours prior to your office visit. I accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and debit cards. Please note that I do not accept personal or business checks.

I also accept payments through Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) (VISA/Mastercard debit), as well as cash or cashier’s checks. In addition, CareCredit is accepted.

I provide a detailed Superbill for each visit, outlining the services rendered and diagnosis codes. Depending on your insurance plan and out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for reimbursement for a portion of the fees once you meet your deductible. Upon request, I can provide a Good Faith Estimate of annual expected charges to assist you in planning your healthcare expenses.

Thank you for understanding and adhering to these policies, which allow me to focus solely on providing you with the individualized care and attention you deserve.

Out-OF-Network Benefits with your insurance

Understanding Your Out-of-Network Insurance Benefits:

If you have insurance that offers out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for partial or full reimbursement for services provided by my practice. Here’s how you can determine your coverage:

  1. Contact your insurance provider: Call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card to inquire about your out-of-network mental health benefits.
  2. Questions to ask your insurance provider:
    • What are my out-of-network mental health benefits?
    • Do I have a deductible, and if so, how much of it has been met?
    • What percentage of the charges will be reimbursed after the deductible is met?
    • Is there a maximum allowable amount per session or a maximum number of sessions per year?
    • Do I need pre-authorization or a referral from my primary care physician?

  1. Request a good faith estimate: Ask your insurance provider to provide a good faith estimate of what they will reimburse for services provided by an out-of-network psychiatrist.

Understanding your insurance benefits can help you plan for your healthcare expenses and maximize your reimbursement.
